Arts Hearts Fashion F/W 14
The Arts Hearts Fashion, now a staple for Fashion Week, was established in 2011 by Erik Rosete and has benefited many charities. It is supported by many celebrities and has become a platform for designers to showcase their collections. This year, it was the AIDS Healthcare Foundation. It featured some fabulous designers starting with M The Movement, Mister Triple X, MessQueen, Artistix and ending with the amazing Maggie Barry.
M The Movement featured some awesome eco friendly streetwear for men and women. Layered looks with leather, cotton and button up jackets. Soft formfitting dresses for women, as well as flirty short leather skirts and sexy leather shorts. Even a sexy lace bra covered by a see through black material paired with jeans..just to spice it up a bit! Vests lined with leather, for the men, added a bit of a bad boy feel to the collection. Gotta love leather! Bow-ties as accessories for women and pashmina scarves for men created soft tones.
Then came the Arts Hearts Fashion Founder Erik Rosete “Mr. Triple X” who hit it off wth his edgy trend setting streetwear. Bold patterns, mixed with leather in a very sexy collection for men and women that knocked it out of the ballpark! Beautiful long dresses with so much attention to detail. Accessorized by uniquely shaped purses, harnesses and chains for men and women..what an imagination! Out of this world.
Next was MessQueen designer Courtney N. Gamble and what a mess it was..in a good way, if you like that sort of thing. Making a statement, she mixed checkers with stripes, Polka Dots and harem pants, unbelievable leggings, cat suits and bold colors of all kinds of differen materials..what a show!
And then came the finale: The fabulous Maggie Barry, designer for the stars and a true fashion legend! M8 Urban wowed the audience with her unique collection which featured belts made of mens ties, black leather in amazing designs with sequins and leather shirts with cut outs as well as pashminas covering the head and reaching all the way to the ground. Muted colors to downright amazing! An epic collection which brought on a standing ovation.
So, I guess you could say that leather is in for the season. It’s sexy and I just love it!
